The school year is qucikly coming to a close and there are many activities going on at PJHS! Friday May 30th there is a release party for the 2008 Yearbook. It will take place from 3:15 to 5:00 and the cost is $2. Students can get their yearbooks early. The rest of the yearbooks will be distributed on Monday, June 2nd in first hour. Tuesday June 3rd is Fun Day for 7th graders and the 6 Flags Marine World trip for the 8th graders. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are early release days. Release time is 12:45, and the buses will we running. Thursday, June 5th is the 8th Grade Promotion dance from 6:30 to 9:30. The PJHS dress code is still enforced. A big THANK YOU goes out to all the parent volunteers that make this dance possible. The 8th grade promotion ceremony is Friday June 6th at 10 am. There will be ample parking in both the south lot as well as parking on the blacktop. Congratulations !

PARENT SURVEY In past years, the School Site Survey was given to students, parents and teachers on old fashioned scantron forms, and the job of collecting them (without getting wrinkled!) scanning them and then actually analyzing all the data was a HUGE job! This year the survey is online! Students have already completed the student survey in the computer lab, and now the parent survey is open for business.
PRO BASKETBALL 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR It is time to start thinking about the next school year. Incoming 7th Graders: Our counselors and teachers have been visiting 6th grade classes at our feeder schools introducing our programs and giving students a taste of what PJHS academic programs and elective programs are like. Parents are invited to the 6th Grade Parent Night on January 24th, 6:30 PM in the Multi Use Room Exiting 8th Graders: Students have already visited elective classes at the high school and have already received their 9th grade registration forms. Forms will be collected in PE classes on January 24th & 25th, depending on when students have PE. Students not attending PHS in the fall should still return the forms, signed, stating that they will not be attending PHS.
DRAMA PERFORMACE Our after school Drama Class will be performing in the Multi Use Room on January 25th, 7PM.

The boys basketball teams is selling $40 tickets ($48 value) to the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies game on Saturday March 15th at 7:30 pm at the Oakland Arena. If we sell enough tickets the 8th grade team will get to play Creekside Middle School on the main court before the pro game! Tickets must be purchased by Friday March 7th.
